Mike Torres, current Secretary of the Suffolk Conservative Party was selected as the Party’s new Chairman at their convention on September 29
He replaces Mr. Frank Tinari, who is credited by many Executive Committee members for removing the stain of corruption on the Party that remained following the arrest and conviction of former Chairman Ed Walsh.
They said, ‘During this tumultuous period for the Party, Mr. Tinari was a unifying force and was instrumental in restoring honor and dignity to the Party.’
Sources said Mr. Tinari was stepping down because of an increased workload in his private legal practice, but would remain a vigorous member of the Party.
