Trump’s Most Effective 2020 Campaign Message

Trump’s recent economy may be his greatest strength come November…

The Bottom-Line

Conventional Wisdom

The pandemic has cratered the economy -> President Trump’s greatest achievement has been the booming economy -> Therefore, with Trump’s greatest strength suddenly removed, his re-election chances have dwindled.

Wordman’s Take

In the 2016 campaign, he promised to ‘turn the economy around’ and ‘Make America Great Again!’ -> At that time, voters perceived it as ‘just another promise’ by a political candidate -> However, enough Americans shared that vision, and he became President.

Fast forward to February 1, 2020 -> The economy [and the markets] are booming like never before -> Trump delivered what he promised! [Almost unheard of for a politician]

In 1992, Bill Clinton advisor James Carville, famously said, ‘It’s the economy, stupid!’
He was right then…and he’s still right today.

  • President Trump’s re-election campaign message should be framed
around asking voters just one simple question:

Who do you trust to Make America Great Again in 2020 and beyond?

Donald Trump – who has already shown he can do it…or
Joe Biden – who’s been hiding in his basement for months?

Make America Great Again – Again!

And…that’s The Bottom-Line

As a small business owner, I trust President Trump to make us great again. In my opinion, too many of our elected officials (like Vice President Biden) are “one trick ponies.” They’ve spent their entire working lives living in the Washington DC bubble. What have they actually DONE in the REAL world?
While they have no first hand knowledge of what it takes to run a small business, they are only too happy to tell me how to run mine. (They don’t have to suffer the consequences of their well intended (?) but ultimately bone headed mandates and regulations!)
I certainly don’t like everything that comes out of the President’s mouth but I believe that based on his personal life experiences and his past performance as President, he is the man who will make America Great Again…Again.

WOW! You nailed it perfectly, Wordman. Pence ended his speech tonight with your line:
Make America Great Again – Again!
